Australian Chapter Awards
The Australian Chapter of the
Association of Old Crows (AOC) has a policy to award certificates of
appreciation to individuals and small teams who have made outstanding
contributions to Electronic Warfare (EW) in Australia. The following
awards are presented each year:
The

The
Defence Science and Technology Organisation
Australian Industry
Ross Treharne Trophy
The last set of awards were made in 2004 to the following recipients:

This award is presented to one
member of the ADF whose contribution to the recognition and
understanding of EW in Australia distinguishes them from their peers.
The recipient does not need to be an AOC member.

Defence Civilian Certificate
This certificate is awarded to one
DSTO member whose service distinguishes them in EW related fields. It is
awarded for exceptionally meritorious service contributing to the
recognition and understanding of EW in Australia. The recipient does not
need to be an AOC member.

Australian Industry Certificate
This certificate is awarded to one
member of Australian Industry whose service to EW distinguishes them
from their peers. It is awarded for exceptionally meritorious service
contributing to the recognition and understanding of EW in Australia.
The recipient does not need to be an AOC member.

In addition, a special award is presented to an Australian AOC member for outstanding achievement in EW.
Service to the Australian Chapter AOC: The Ross Treharne Shield
The Ross Treharne Shield is presented
for outstanding achievement in Electronic Warfare in Australia. The
Shield is held by the recipient for a period of 12 Months and on its
return, the recipient would be given a small shield to hold in
perpetuity. The recipient must be an AOC Australian Chapter member.

AOC Special Medal
Each Year the AOC awards its members
for meritorious service to EW by giving out Gold, Silver, Bronze and
Special awards. These type of awards are not normally awarded to non-US
citizens, however, it is believed that the first international member to
receive one such award is an Australian, Mr J.S. Allison.
