James has recently left the Regular Army, having spent 20 years as a communications officer in the Royal Australian Corps of Signals. In his career he has served in a variety of command and communications operational postings. His operational deployments with the Army include Timor Leste, the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, Iraq, Lebanon and Afghanistan. His Electronic Warfare education includes attending the Defence Academy – College of Management and Technology at Shrivenham in the United Kingdom where I graduated with a MSc (Military Electronic Systems Engineering). James was subsequently posted to JEWOSU as the OIC of the Land CMD&V Cell (CIED), and also served as a CDG Project Officer for a major Land EW project. He is currently the Operations Manager for EW Data Production for SRC AUS under Project Ghosthawk.

He has been a member of the Australian Chapter of the Association of Old Crows since his posting to JEWOSU in 2012 and is very proud to have his EW contribution recognised by the award of an ADF Certificate that year. He has since enjoyed the benefits of membership of the AOC and I feel that it is now time for me to step up and make a contribution to the hard work that is required to support the Chapter and the Association.
